Why is " Bad Sugar " so unique? It uses the latest scientifically-based research about how the connection between mind, body and spirit affects all aspects of a person's life. Researchers and practitioners on the forefront of lifestyle and disease prevention call this the Mind-Body-Spirit approach. No other TV documentary has used a holistic approach like this before.
" Bad Sugar " gives people the in-depth, easy to understand information they could only get from many consultations with different health care professionals, such as doctors, nurse practitioners, medical specialists, nutritionists and personal trainers.
Renowned experts and real patients with the disease show viewers how to prevent type 2 diabetes and complications in all types of diabetes using simple lifestyle interventions: exercise, nutrition, positive emotions, stress reduction, spiritual practices - even humor and pet therapy.
Diabetes is becoming an epidemic in the US. Currently, 20.8 million people are diagnosed with diabetes in the US (American Diabetes Association, 2006.) Watch " Bad Sugar " to learn how to prevent the disease and fight complications.
